This year, instead of a Secret Santa program or exchanging gifts, the Heroes at UnitHub decided to take up donations for a local charity. This made much more sense than giving each other things we don't really need, and it gave us an opportunity to reach out to our local charities here in Rock Hill, SC.

The local organization we decided to work with this Christmas was the Dorothy Day Soup Kitchen. This Soup Kitchen has been faithfully serving the Rock Hill community for 24 years, providing daily hot meals for anyone in need. During Thanksgiving & Christmas, their volunteers provide a large banquet and also deliver to the sick & shut-ins of the community.
It was truly a blessing to see such goodwill in action. After seeing this work being done here in our city, we have been inspired to do more with the Dorothy Day Soup Kitchen in the future. Especially since these organizations need help and assistance not only at Christmas, but throughout the year as well.

The annual Today Show Toy Drive officially kicked off last week, as Jill Wedding of Mary Kay, Inc announced that the company is donating $7 million worth of cosmetics, skin care, and toys to the cause. Mary Kay is the toy drive’s largest donor, donating a total of $32 million over their 8 years of participation.
Mary Kay was not alone in it's giving. Customizing your UnitHub Website with videos can be done in a few simple steps. Any video with an Embed Code can be placed on your UnitHub website. This includes videos from sites like YouTube, Vimeo, Eyejot, & More!
The first step of adding a video is to add it to the Resource Library in the Video Library Section. Just select where the video is coming from (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) and paste the url. Once it is saved in the Video Library, you can easily add it to your website through the "embed media" button that looks like a film strip on the rich editor then select "Video Library"
If you would rather insert the video on the page directly without adding it to the resource library, you can just use the embed code. Most Online Videos offer an embed code for sharing videos on other sites. For Example: on YouTube, you can click the "Share" button.
After selecting "Share" you can click the "Embed" option and then copy the Embed code.
To add it to your UnitHub website, just click on the Embed Media button & instead of selecting Video Library, simply paste the embed code directly into the box. This process can be used for embedding any html object or video to your site.

Mary Kay has a long history of standing up to Domestic Violence, and since October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, they are continuing to display their commitment to this worthy cause.

Your UnitHub Website offers many customization options through our Rich Editor. To access this, you will need to login to your UnitHub account, then select "Social Media" >> "My Website". After selecting a page to edit, you will be able to add content.
Edit the Font, Size & Color of the Text:
We offer a handful of universal fonts to choose from, you can also select any size or color for the text on your website.
Link to Another Website:
Selecting the "Link" icon will allow you to link directly to another website. For Example: highlight words like "Click Here to View my Facebook Page" then click "Link" and enter the url(www.facebook.com/example) for your facebook page. Words and images can be linked to other sites.
Add Images:
Selecting the "Image" button allows you to browse your Resource Library to add images to your website. If you have not yet uploaded the image to your image library, you may also upload it directly from your computer. Any files hosted on your UnitHub website must also be stored within the Resource Library section of your account.
Embed Videos & Other HTML:
The "Embed Media" Button allows you to upload any html object to your website. You can also use this to select videos from YouTube or Vimeo that are in the resource library. This is an incredibly versatile feature because there are so many html objects available online. Most video hosting sites offer html codes to embed videos.
Add Audio:
If you have added audio files to the Audio section of the Resource Library, you can embed them into your website by selecting the "Audio" button here. These audio files must be in the Resource Library in order to embed them.
Create a Table:
Creating a table can be useful for entering data in a spreadsheet format. It can also be helpful to evenly space images on a page. for example. you can create a table and add images in the cells. This can help to provide even spacing to images in a grid layout.
Create Online Forms:
Online Forms can be used to collect information from your website visitors. You can add multiple types of text boxes to collect data, and add a submit button to have it sent to you when it is completed.

If you are one of the 5 million Apple lovers who recently purchased the new iPhone 5 during its first week on the market, or if you have recently upgraded to the new iOS 6 software you now have an amazing new Panorama tool built into your iPhone camera. You have probably even seen some of Apple's commercials for this new feature.
As you saw in the commercial, this tool is surprisingly easy to use, and from my experience it works better than most panoramic camera apps in the market.

Adding Pages to your UnitHub website can be done in a few simple steps. Just like with any other website change, you will need to go to Social Media >> My Website
From here, you will need to select the Add Page tab.
You can give the page a name & select a page template. We have many page templates to choose from & each one has a different purpose.

Make Your Own Page is like an open book. You can do nearly anything with this template because it is essentially a blank sheet. You can add text, links, images, videos, audio, and even embed html.
A Blog template would allow you to write, publish, and organize articles on your UnitHub website. Blogs keep a website interesting by constantly supplying new content.
The Training Center is an online interactive document storage center. This makes it easy to train your Unit without having to print or mail training documents.
A Link to Page is a button on your website that links directly to another website. This is helpful to send your website visitors to your online store, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
Link to Document is very similar to Link to Page, but the major difference is that this button is used to open a document file.
A Menu Separator is a small image file that is placed between buttons on the vertical menu bar.
The Upcoming Events template links directly to the events added in the "Activities" section of UnitHub. Any Activities that have been selected to "Show on My Website" will be displayed.
The Contact Me page allows your website visitors to contact you through the website. Any correspondence with this form will be sent to your email address and also show up in the "Website Leads" section.
My Profile consists of a page all about you. We provide some standard questions that you can answer about yourself, or you can create new ones.
The Guestbook is where your visitors can leave messages for you, and you can choose to display them, delete them, or respond to them.
A Photo Gallery consists of photo albums that were added to the Resource Library in the Image Gallery section. As you add albums to this resource library section, they will be added to the Photo Gallery Page on your website.

From Here, you can select which plugin you would like to place on your website. Facebook provides many options including: Like Button, Send Button, Subscribe Button, Comments, Activity Feed, Reccomendations, Like Box, Login Button, Registration, & Facepile.
Some of the most popular ones are the Like Box & Like Button. This allows visitors to "Like" your Facebook Page directly from your website without actually being on the Facebook website itself. After Selecting the Option that you would like to use on your site, you can edit and preview the box itself, then select "Get Code"
You can then select what type of code, you would like for the plugin. You can choose from HTML5, XFBML, IFRAME, or as a URL. With UnitHub, we reccomend using IFRAME. Right click & copy this code.
